Friday Favorites: Hair Styles

Welcome back for another Friday Favorites!

This week I’m bringing you my favorite hair styles. I am so boring when it comes to my hair. I almost always straighten it and leave it as is. It’s so easy and incredibly hard to mess up. But every now and then I will try something new whether it be as simple as curling it or as fun as adding some bobby pins or hair scarves. It can be fun to change up your hair styles. They are a great finishing touch to your look!

1. Simple curls

I posted this photo on Monday because I had finally tried a tutorial I had seen on curling medium length hair, which I struggle with. Fashion Blogger Cheralee Lyle had posted her hair tutorial and basically the gist of it was break your hair into sections (I did it in three layers) and curl each piece in alternating directions. I always start with the pieces that frame my face curling away from my face, then alternated to curling the next piece towards my face and so on. Alternating the direction gives your hair more volume! Adding a little curl and body to your look makes you look a little more put together! I loved it.

2. Low Ponytails/ Low Buns

I think low ponytails can be so chic and so fun. You can slick your hair back for a really chic look, or tie your hair back with a scarf for a fun look. I think Lifestyle Blogger Jacey Duprie does the low bun and low pony so well, I will share some of her styles below!

3. Bobby Pins

Bobby pins are a huge trend right now and I fully support it! I just got some really basic pearl looking bobby pins from CVS the other day and love them! Create a nice side part in your hair then slip them in to add some sparkle to your style.

When it comes to styling your hair, just know that it takes practice and to be casual with it! The undone, simple look is the way to go so try what you want and have fun with it.
