An Honest Review of My Skincare & Makeup Products
I have been working lately to really nail down my skincare routine. Anyone else getting breakouts from all the mask wearing?
As I tweaked my skincare routine more and more, I also wanted to switch up my makeup routine just a bit to showcase the skin I’ve been working so hard to take care of. I love a good no-makeup makeup look. So I ditched the everyday eyeshadow I was doing and focused more on subtle blushes and highlighters. Some products I absolutely love while others I feel aren’t worth the price. Here’s my honest review of all of them.
Origins Face Wash
I have been using Origin’s face wash for three years and love it. It Is one of my favorite products in my routine. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or oily and works really well to take off any excess makeup I didn’t get with my makeup remover.
Bliss Makeup Melt
I. Love. This. I recently switched from makeup wipes to the Bliss Makeup Melt jelly. This jelly works so well to get off all of your makeup and is much better for the environment than tossing all those makeup wipes everyday. Before, I was using a combination of makeup wipes and an oil makeup remover because there was still so much makeup even after using the makeup wipe. The oil didn’t always feel great on my skin, a little too greasy. So this makeup melt has been the perfect addition to my routine.
No 7 Dark Circle Corrector
I use this eye cream each night before bed. It has an applicator made up of small metal balls that feel really cooling and nice on the eyes, but other than that I’m not really a fan. I don’t see results from using this and am definitely in the market for another night time eye cream.
Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum
This serum I use morning and night and love how smooth it feels on my skin. After adding this to my skincare routine I’ve noticed my skin tone seems more even overall and definitely more hydrated. It’s a great addition to your routine and a little goes a long way so it will last you a while.
Watermelon Glow Toner
This is amazinggg. I started using this toner about a month ago and I have really noticed my pores getting smaller. It also smells so good, definitely one of my new favorite products.
No 7 Moisturizers
I use No 7 moisturizers for both morning and night. They both work really well and go on smoothly. Also, the morning one has SPF 30 which is always important to make sure your face lotion has sunscreen in it. They are not overly expensive so I think you’re definitely getting your moneys worth with these products.
No More Baggage Eye Cream
If you buy anything from this list, buy this eye cream. This is my holy grail skincare product. I use it every morning under my eyes and immediately feel it working. It tightens up the skin under your eyes, reducing the dark circles and bags. If I could only use on product it would be this one.
No 7 Foundation Drops
I started using these drops instead of the usual foundation. You add it to your moisturizer and it is a much lighter weight than other foundations. I find that it lasts really well throughout the day as well!
No 7 Line Correcting Booster Serum
This serum is one product that I think I could do without. I don’t find that it works any better than their other serums and it is double the price. I would opt for one of their advanced serums over this and save the money!
Glow Recipe Sleep Masks
Glow recipe truly makes the best sleep masks. I alternate between their Watermelon and Avocado each night. They leave you feeling really refreshed right before bed and both smell amazing. I can definitely see a difference in my skin when I’m using them versus not. I don’t know how to describe it other than my skin looks much brighter and healthy overall.
Gucci Mascara
Onto makeup! I ordered this mascara as soon as it was released and absolutely love it. It lasts really well throughout the day and isn’t clumpy at all. It’s a little bit more expensive than some of the other top mascaras but I find that it is worth the price.
Ilia Multi-stick Cheek & Lip
I just switched to this blush stick and love it. It looks super natural and is multi-use for your cheeks and lips so you can add a little extra lip color as well!
Rare Beauty Highlighter
I’ve seen mixed reviews of the Rare beauty line. I only have the highlighter and I personally like it a lot. It is really lightweight and goes on pretty smoothly. The only complaint I have is that it feels a bit oily if you put too much. Aside from that I find it to work really well for me.
Laura Mercier Eyeshadow Stick
These sticks are great for simple natural eyeshadow colors. When I want to go for a fancier look they are really easy to build onto with other eyeshadow pallets.
NYX Brow Mascara
I don’t like to do to much to my eyebrows (mostly because I’m not very good at it) so I like this brow mascara because it’s really simple. It is really easy to apply and only $8 {score!}
