Inspiration Rut?

Inspiration is everywhere, but sometimes it’s hard to see.

Everything from style, to fitness, to food needs inspiration, and sometimes you just get in a rut. You know how it goes, looking into a closet full of ‘nothing to wear’. Or making the same things for dinner over and over. We’ve all been there. So here are some places I look for inspiration.

Pintrest

I go on Pinterest everyday. It can be therapeutic to look through photos that give me ideas on what I’d like to wear or where I’d like to go. This is the first place I go to look for inspiration.

Blogs/Instagrams

Next up, heading to my favorite blogs and websites. When I’m stuck in an outfit rut, I tend to visit whowhatwear.com, damselindior.com and somethingnavy.com. Who What Wear is one of my favorite brands and they post great content to their website. Tons of articles on what’s trending now and different places you can shop. Next, Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior is one of my style idols. She always looks so effortlessly chic. I aspire to look as cool as she does each day. And Arielle Charnas of Something Navy has built a total blogging empire, so inspiring. Head to any of those sites and you’re sure to find some inspiration.

Go For a Walk

Sometimes getting inspiration can be as simple as walking around your neighborhood. Get out of the space you’ve been stuck thinking in and clear your head. It’s amazing what that can do for you. When I have a lot o work to do I pack up my things and go to Starbucks. When I get stuck working, instead of looking at my apartment walls there are new things to look at that can give me the spark I need to keep working.
