Spring Transitions
About this time in the Winter, I begin to grow increasingly anxious for Spring.
I’ve worn all my sweaters more times than I can count and am constantly browsing Spring wardrobe inspiration on Pinterest. Trading in my beanies and sweaters for blouses and trench coats. It’s so close I can feel it.
I contain my excitement by slowly incorporating more and more Spring looks into my wardrobe while still dressing for the weather. Here are some of the tactics I try to add some Spring vibes into my looks.
Brighter Colors
Now is when I start longing for pastel colors. I’ll start to wear a few here or there to brighten up my looks. Some of my favorites would be light yellows and pinks. Here are some pieces I’m loving right now.
Switch Up My Denim
Usually in the winter I’m sticking to darker denim with little to no distressing or rips to keep me warm. Soon, I’ll start to wear my lighter denim with some interesting distressing. Some of my favorite jeans right now:
Trade My Boots for Flats
As the weather starts to warm up, I put my boots away and pull out my favorite mules, flats and sneakers. Shoes are my favorite part of any outfit so adding a new rotation of shoes into the mix makes me feel more excited about my outfits.
Change Out My Accessories
After months of beanies and blanket scarves I get excited to wear different hair accessories and fun jewelry. I love some bright hair scarves or layered bracelets to add some detail to my looks.
